Arandù, meaning ‘to feel time’, is a vibrant band that merges Pop Culture with Jazz and Afro Cuban melodies.

The band's unique sound blends traditional Latin music and rhythms with modern jazz influences and pop culture fusing the genres together to create a dynamic and electrifying performance that will leave you wanting more.

The quintet is uniquely balanced with Josh Fotopoulos on Piano and keys, Alejandro Vega on drums and percussion, Pablo Guzzo on upright and electric bass, Tom Jovanovich on trumpet and flugelhorn and Jasmine Filer our amazing singer who also doubles up and plays percussion in the band.

Who we are...
The Band
Josh Fotopoulos has a passion for rhythm and is a vibrant piano player who had spent a lot of his earlier years travelling and writing music that he has brought to the band. Josh has toured with various bands in Australia and Over Seas.
Learning from some of the great piano players in Melbourne such as Bob and Steve Seddergreen. He is a musician who believes the essence of playing music is to connect deeply with his band and therefore, awakening his audience to feel something in response to the music being played.
Alejandro Vega has played with everyone including The Little River Band, Michael Bublé to John Farnham. He was lead percussionist on Dancing with the Stars and featured in musicals including King Kong and Fame. he has also played and the Logies and the AFL Grand Final. He is a fiery Chilean with a love for good music, coffee and tight grooves
Pablo Guzzo, Argentine living in Melbourne since 2019. Self-taught bassist, he belonged to important bands in his region such as the legendary Markama band, NN Funk Fusion, and the outstanding Tango singer Silvia Gabriela. He has toured Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, Australia. Graduated from the University of Cuyo in Mendoza with a degree in double bass. Musician who covers everything from classical music to jazz, blues, rock and Latin American folklore.
Tom Jovanovic is a highly active and versatile trumpeter who is strongly influenced by the 1950's and '60s jazz masters. He has extensive touring and recording experience both in the USA and Australia. Tom's dedication earned him a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied with world leaders in music education. Back in Melbourne, Tom has become a fixture on the local music scene, engaging audiences with his improvisations and dynamic performances.
Jasmine Filer has been singing her whole life, even before she could talk. She has a passion for a wide range of music styles from swing to musical theatre, latin and contemporary music and is always listening to new (and old) music as inspiration to broaden and enhance her repertoire. Jasmine has won numerous awards and competitions for singing and she also composes her own original music. Jasmine is a multi instrumentalist and uses her skills to enhance the band by playing percussion as well.
